Inappropriate? Or Misinterpreted

So the question I am wondering here is, who will play the part of scapegoat in this Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo "scandal"? Coming not to long after her MySpace photo faux pas.
And scapegoats aside what is the real issue here?
I was blissfully unaware of what a Miley Cyrus was until the Hannah Montana movie was released, and now she has a wholesome scandal on her hands it seems she will be further thrust upon us.
The photo is whatever you make of it. Miley is seemingly nude and covered by a sheet, dishevelled and pouting. Leibovitz has always claimed that she uses nudes to create; 'an instant intimacy'
While I do find it inappropriate considering Miley is only 15, but not outrageous and all else aside I think it's a good photo.
It is reported that Leibovitz snapped photos with Miley's parents onset, then more after they left.
Is this a case of obviously sinister morally bankrupt Leibovitz taking advantage of a no brain girl who's parents who named her Destiny Hope Cyrus disappear opportunely or more of a case of a curious and savvy young woman, given an opportunity now left to apologize for her coming of age and perhaps back pedal a little?
'I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.' - No word on what the accompanying article is - don't these people get to see the spread before it goes to press?
If I were the mother of a young tween girl I probably find it difficult to deal with (and would discourage my child from watching that pap anyway) but think I'm too old to identify with Miley, and to young for a parental uprise.
"I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted," says Leibovitz in a statement.

Life as a CD reviewer;

Panic At The Disco - Pretty.Odd.

I was excited and intrepid when I pushed play on Panic at the Disco's new album. While I enjoyed PATD's first CD A fever you can't sweat out, I was afraid that perhaps that was it for them, and they could not evolve thier sound.
Recorded in Las Vegas, and mixed at Abbey Road Studios, it seems PATD have been digging around in thier parents records for this almost folky punk laced with electro-emo-pop.

From the beginning I feel, for my money, this album is better than thier debut.
Amusing intro song, Oh, how it's been so long
We're so sorry we've been gone
We were busy writing songs for you

The new single Nine in the Afternoon still hearkens on thier old sound to pull the fans in.
I Have Friends In Holy Spaces is a like introducing a ukulele to Christina Aguleria's Back to Basics album, while Northern Downpour, Behind the Sea and From a Mountain in the Middle show off some neat lyrical twists.
Pas De Cheval is hilariously my favourite, like a spaghetti western set to music!
The album has a sentimental feel to it, the melodies feel like a soundtrack pulling the songs through cheesy westerns, Chicago style gin joints, going off to court with Maid Marion and the gentility and into the Yellow Submarine for some flower power.

PATD have continued thier penchant for irritatingly long song names, I wasn't keen on it to begin with but its return does not please me.
Guess I can't like everything!

Its like Chicago meets Flower Child, watched over by Beatles of the past.

1. We're So Starving
2. Nine In The Afternoon

BlogTardy

I was BlogTardy yesterday.
Surely I am not alone here, your sitting reading your stories and all of a sudden you needed to be somewhere ten minuets ago!
It was half past eleven, and I was still sitting in my pajamas and reading my blogs (actually K's blog lol) when I noticed the time and realised that I had twenty minuets to shower, blow dry and dress for the corporate world.
Not happening.

So my blogtardiness made me six minuets late for my interview! For shame!

Weird stuff

Did you know there is some really weird stuff in the world?

This is the (rude) Cerne Abbas Giant, Long Man of Wilmington and White Horse respectively. How weird are they? These two figures are cut through the grass into the chalky English hills. Those Celts were a strange lot apprently.
Nobody quite knows what their purpose is, and in war time they had to paint them green to protect them from air raids - odd... like;

Stone Henge... those crazy druids. How did they do that?
Or The Moai statues of Rapa Nui on Easter Island, some of the statues weigh 80 tonnes! With an estimated 100 original colonists on the island an intriguing thought.

McOz, What has befallen you?

Possibly two of the benefits of not having any money and not driving is; I manage to avoid McDonalds and McDonalds drive through as two of lifes' convinences.
But yesterday I was opting for convienece and went and ordered my favourite. A medium McOz meal.
'I'm sorry we don't do them anymore...' was the result I got, I didn't know what to do.
WHAT DID SHE MEAN, THEY DON'T DO THEM ANYMORE? Can I order anything with beetroot and cooked onions anymore? NO.
So I googled McOz's dissapearence, and McFeast seems to be the culprit. The McFeast seems to have been taken off the menu some fifteen years ago... surely its reintroducion isn't progress having gotten rid of McOz?
